iPad/RasPi/EggBot

Tue Apr 02, 2013 10:09 pm

VNC allows iPad to act as monitor, keyboard and mouse for RasPi, which can run an EggBot. See http://www.instructables.com/id/iPad-co ... an-EggBot/ for further details.

on the Pi terminal, run:

sudo apt-get install inkscape

Then browse to the Evil Mad Science Labs EggBot wiki page and download the Linux Eggbot extensions and examples.

Then in terminal, run:

sudo apt-get install tightvncserver

and

follow the directions at http://www.penguintutor.com/linux/tightvnc to add the VNC server to the startup of the Pi.

Finally, Install the free app "Mocha VNC Lite" on your iPad or iPhone. Now run the EggBot from your iPad/iPhone.

That's awesome.

I did something similar but with my nexus 7. I used a OTG cable to hook up my keyboard and mouse and just used VNC to get the Pi screen.
