It has not been a long time that I wanted to help one family. I started to find the components which are necessary to construct the mechanism for monitoring of eyes. It took 3 days to construct the mechanism and wrote the program. But it was still not finished. The problem was that the mechanism must be easy to construct and it has to work reliably.
The first tests were realized by Raspberry Pi which took the photos of eyes and it was possible to adapt the scanner effectively. This mechanism is intended for people who are unable to move and they are dependent on the other people for help.
I decided to ask for a help on this web because I want to continue in this project. I think that it has a future. I want to make this special glasses, software and Raspberry Pi as an instrument which will improve the life conditions.
The problems which need to be solved:
- Algorithm for the calculation of the position of cursor – it need to elaborate
- The led light (which is on install in glasses) cause irritation to eyes
- It causes irritation on the nose (because of the pressure of glasses)
