Digital Job Notice Board

Tue Apr 23, 2019 4:49 pm

Hi, i hope this is in the correct section.

currently what i do at work is teamviewer into my computer, write a notepad file of jobs to be completed and then the following morning print this off for people to read.

i would like to use a pi and connect to a monitor so it does this.

i thought of simply having a html on auto refresh reading a .txt file or something so as i updated the file it shows the jobs.

does anyone have any input on a improved way of doing this or for something as simple as what i want is this the best way ?

To be honest I would use https://asana.com/ and not use a Pi

You can then keep track from anywhere and get each person to update their actions (assuming they have web access) - even the phone app is handy.

thanks for the reply. this is great but i am not sure it would work for how our company works at the moment. as i said above i want to update a screen with what work is now a priority etc and the engineers take it upon themselves to work between themselves face to face to organise who is going where and it works great this way. i dont want to assign jobs to 1 engineer etc

Create a stack per engineer and let them assign work as needed.

It’s then like the old T-Card system
