led strip control from music

Mon Nov 12, 2018 9:57 pm

I built a project taking usb mic input and adjusting an led strip (NON-ADDRESSABLE) colour using the volume.
A pretty simple and uninspiring map of volume to a colour map (think "jet" from matlab or similar).

All well and good but not great.
When nearly complete I had found a github repo (I think) which applied FFT to an mp3 file and played the mp3 file while adjusting the (non addressable) led strip in time with the music.
I discounted it at the time because it didn't have mic input which was what I was looking to do at the time but now that I can do that I'd like to revisit the FFT software that I saw.

For the life of me I cant find it again.

All my searches are swamped with the github repo that controls addressable led strips. not the 5050 strips I thought I had seen code for.

Can anyone point me to the one I thought I found?

Thanks that was it. BitBucket not GitHub. My memory is failing.

Now I just have to coerce my mic code snippet into their mp3/fft/led code project.
