RF Transmitter

Sun Oct 14, 2018 5:45 pm

Hi,

Please assist, I'm trying to build an RF transmitter using a Raspberry PI3+. It needs to be able to transmit a set message over a pre-determined RF frequency to set receivers.

Anyone know how to build something of this nature? Or perhaps built something similar?

Except for a few specific frequency bands, operating an RF transmitter without a licence is illegal in most countries.

RPis are not suitable as the basis for the RF part of any RF transmitter.

What range to you want the signal to cover?

There are various "add-ons" for the Pi to send RF signals. Some that operate in the 433MHz band for example
You may also want to investigation "LoRa" which is a RF protocol that works over relatively long range.
