Found my case over christmas ...and i enjoyed the chocolates
Firstly, be very careful if you are cutting holes; it will crack very easily.
Secondly, do not paint the outside. Start by painting or otherwise applying the logos, port labels and so forth inside the box. Then finish with an overall coat of paint also inside the box. You will end up with a professional-looking high-gloss finish and an impervious paint-job. I've done this sort of thing a few times, and it takes a so-so DIY project and makes it look great.

I'd suggest something like a Dremel-Multi -tool circular saw attachment, on the highest RPM possible for cutting plastic like that. then sand to smooth you edges.

Re: Raspberrypi case
There is an older (and very long) topic about cases for Raspberry Pi:
http://www.raspberrypi.org/for.....38;ret=all.
Read that to get a lot of information

Re: Raspberrypi case
Yeah, this thread is technically about the creation of a custom case and less about repurposing existing items and turning them into a case
Dear forum: Play nice

This is my initial thoughts for an enclosure, awaiting proper dimensions...

I would love to see something that's rack mountable.
Better yet, have the case resemble a real 1U Server that we put in a mini rack.
Oh that would be fun!
Nice " ThermalTake 01 ?" : )
