Inexpensive High-Res 4.3" display

Tue Sep 25, 2012 3:43 pm

I went searching on Ebay and found a 4.3" monitor that has a very good resolution. It has 1200X600 resultion. Of course the writing is very small (being a 4.3") but it is readable. It runs off a standard 12V adapter and I imagine I could get it to run off less (target would be 5v) but I havent really had the time to do the tinkering yet. Here is a link to the one I bought:

The cost was $23.99 so not too bad overall.

I highly doubt it is 1200x600. Don't forget, we're talking about composite video.
{sig} Setup: Original version Raspberry Pi (B, rev1, 256MB), Dell 2001FP monitor (1600x1200), 8GB Class 4 SD Card with Raspbian and XBMC, DD-WRT wireless bridge

1200x600 is the sub-pixel resolution. Thus the real resolution is 600x300. If you're lucky.
