Thanks for the advice

The trouble is, I'm looking for a screen that I can (possibly) gut and then just plug into my RPi easily - I'm not very good with electronics past the plug and play kind of thing. I have been looking around since posting this, and could only find this: Lilliput UM70 7" USB Display USB-powered mini Monitor - an £80 USB monitor. It'd be perfect for me, it's small and standalone - I wouldn't even gut it - and I could just house it in some wood, attach it to the housing of my keyboard with some hinges, plug both into my Raspberry Pi's USB ports (I have bought a USB splitter, I now have 5 USB ports) and voila - my working Raspberry Pi netbookything.
BUT!
If this DVD player could do the same as the Lilliput screen can for less - I would consider buying the former.
So the question is - can it?
