Touch Screen inversion

hi so i have an HDMI 7" touchscreen connected to my rasPI, and the touch screen works 90% (rasbian and fedora) My only issue is when i move my finger on the x axis the curser moves in the y and vise-versa. Ive looked for xorg.conf but cant find it. Any1 got any idea of how to sway x and y in my touchscreen (software based preferably)

In Debian/Raspbian,

[conundrum]

Inverting the touch screen cable sometimes works, the DSi was prone to this.
I did come up with a way to make custom touch screens by harvesting parts from a broken large touch screen, glass cutter, Dremel, silver demister paint and a stencil..
Watch for nasty sharp glass though!
