PBX Recommendations

I have a friend who owns coin laundries. I am looking for a recommendation for a PBX package with intercom capability. This guy is a complete technophobe. I need to be able to put an icon on his Windows desktop that he can click to open an intercom session with his customers at a remote site. I'm building it on a RPi3 with Raspbian Jessie.

He has Comcast High Speed cable service with a fixed IP's that he uses for his closed circuit video monitoring systems. I figure I can come in on another port. I'm just looking for recommendations on software. Thanks for any thoughts

Asterisk and all of it's flavors support this. It's basically just a phone call with an auto answer flag set, the other side picks up the call on speakerphone and that is how you have your paging (one way) or intercom (two way). There should be menu options for setting this up in all the common front ends for asterisk. I would guess that if the phone (or software phone) can set this auto-answer flag.. you may not need the PBX side.

There are specific VOIP horn speaker versions for paging/intercom that work in a similar fashion (axis makes one) but they are several hundred dollars. Then there are IP cameras that do VOIP too.. with speaker and mic inputs, Grandstream comes to mind.

You may get more specific help in a VOIP forum.
