I read some tutorials and try to make it work with pi, but it looks like I have to buy a controller? what should I do?

the display of your choice has a MCU interface with read/write/enable signals. Don't know if there's a driver for these kinds of displays available.

There are a lot of cheap modules out there with an RGB interface (18- or 24bit parallel, means 6 or 8-bits per color) which can be connected to the RPi DPI interface directly, requiring some adapter (most of them have FPC connectors) only.
