Rpi radio controller

Mon Nov 14, 2016 2:18 pm

I was wondering if i could control my radio with my rpi ? The controller of my radio doesn't work that good anymore so is it possible the control the radio with the rpi ?

If this is possible, i assume i need to connect a rf transmitter to the rpi. But van i recover the transmitter from my bad radiocontroller ? And can i also use it to control my tv with it ?

I'm confused... :?

Do you want to control a radio reciever with the raspberry pi replacing the existing remote control? Is the existing remote control Infra Red?

There are a few tutorials out there. Google search for "raspberry pi IR transmitter" or "raspberry pi LIRC"

I followed this tutorial to get my pi to control my TV http://alexba.in/blog/2013/01/06/settin ... spberrypi/

Might be more challenging if your existing remote control doesn't work anymore. If nobody else has tried to control a device of your type to LIRC before, then you need to record the button configuration yourself.
