Nextion screen as input for pi?

Fri Oct 28, 2016 8:27 pm

I'm having trouble with finding how to tackle this project. I have a nextion 2,4" HMI screen, that I want to use as multiple "dual-state buttons". However, I can't find how to make the Pi use the 'button-"states"' as inputs, nor do I have a clue how to write this sort of script.

My project involves using the buttons to trigger another script.

Can you give more information on it. A link or model number etc.

Hi I believe you need to use the nextion editor to program the display

Hey, it's a 2,4" nextion screen, I got it running as just putting it as 'one' button. I need to be able to code, that I can differ actions basing on the input (the code sent by the nextion screen)

I know it sounds pretty strange this way, but you can edit in the Nextion Editor, that when you press a dual-state button, it'll send out a signal of code, and it'll do it again if you 'press it off again'. Each signal is different to the state, and the button.
Where do I input this?
