Charging Circuit

I'm looking for a charging and boost circuit for my portable gaming console. I need it to be able to:
- Charge a 3.7v multi-cell battery pack.
- Boost the 3.7v to 5v for the pi at around 2A
- Hopefully allow it to charge and play at the same time.

I've looked at the Adafruit PowerBoost but the shipping to my country makes it too expensive.

I suggest using a PowerBank = for example the Tecknet iEP390 9600mAH supports both 'pass through' charging (i.e you can use it as a UPS) and has 2 USB outputs (o/p max 3.4A in total ) == a lot less hassle (and likely a lot less cost)

Be warned than MOST PowerBanks DON'T support 'pass through' charging (when you plug in the charger they either disconnect the load or 'glitch' the load as they switch from battery to input power) BUT would still be usable with an external switch-over circuit (you can even get away with using Shockley diodes when powering the Pi, however your other components might be less forgiving of the voltage drop imposed by the diodes)
