Having some freetime I decided to create a "special" case for the Raspberry Pi out of some old "Mario Paint" SNES cartridge.

Magnifico!

It looks really strong. You could make a subtly spoofing sticky label for extra cool points.

That's the plan. The problem now is that "RetroArch" still is too slow for a smooth gaming experience. But that's a topic for another forum.

That's Amazing!!!

oh, and I do find that console emulation isn't as good on linux in general. Generally, your favorite emulators for windows or mac might be available under linux, but they just don't work as well anymore. I've have found that fceux for nes, snes9x gtk build for snes, and kega fusion (closed source, but its the best) for your sega consoles, seem to be the most functional under linux (although arm linux is different). Anyway, unfortunately fceux is painfully slow on the pi anyway, cause of openglES not opengl.

Actually, the "Gambatte" module for RetroArch runs pretty well, but SNES and NES still isn't fun at all. I tried to compile snes9x but failed due to several dependencies I couldn't solve so far. Maybe I'll try again this weekend.

Awesome Case Mod! I was thinking of putting mine in an NES Console, even though that may be too large, it still would be cool!

I just built a HTPC with a Mini ITX motherboard I squeezed into an Original NES. I didn't want to sacrafice my working one so I tried to win some on ebay but, I'm not paying $40+ for broken ones. If you are looking for one, I found some at a local flee market. Working ones were being sold for $5-$10 there! Just a suggestion if you're still looking for one.
