Scan server with web application

Thu Jun 03, 2021 11:23 am

in my LAN i have a RPI B+ (i know it is too old) and acts as a print/scan server.https://ibb.co/xXRKDjC, printscreen in the link It has attached a usb HP multifunction machine (fax, copy, printer). Every PC/android can print without issues.
i would like to have the ability to scan from the browser, as well. I have seen something called phpsane, but it loads and it cannot find the scanner.
Does anyone know any way to fix phpsane or any other way to scan from the browser in my RPI, please?

With php, you could scan it by shell_exec() using one the fallowing code, depending on the scanner type using the standard command line functions of SANE:

Code: Select all

FOR USB

echo shell_exec( 'scanimage --device "epson2:libusb:002:003" --mode Color --format=png --output-file preview.png --progress 2>&1');

FOR NETWORK

echo shell_exec( 'scanimage --device "epson2:net:192.168.1.26" --mode color --format=png --output-file tiger.png --progress 2>&1');

Do you have the full package, including the desktop one to test SANE (XSane) ?
And what OS are you running?
