Raspberry Pi 3 + speedometer + moto 360 smart watch

Tue Oct 17, 2017 8:38 am

I'm currently studying for my computing degree, i have an assignment to create a gadget using a small computer like a Raspberry Pi.

My idea is to create a speedometer for my bike. the pi will receive an input from a sensor attached to the spokes and send information to my Moto 360 smart watch (speed, distance, acceleration whatever). The Raspberry Pi 3 is able to connect over Bluetooth with the watch as it supports low energy Bluetooth, i'm here because i don't believe this has been attempted before and i'm a first year with okay programming experience the program must be in C++ but maybe i can change that i don't know.

please lend me your knowledge on the subject as i'm new to Pi and communicating with smartwatches. this has been attempted with a kindle, here is a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4jD8E0e2ck This is my first post on this forum.

Thank you
