DIN rail housing

Mon Jun 17, 2013 8:40 pm

Hi all, first post here (or anywhere for anything Pi related).

I am looking to use a RPI as a mini web server for home automation based on a KNX system.

However for this I will need a RPI in a DIN rail housing in our distribution board.

I have found one project that hopes to achieve this: http://launch.dinpi.com/ but it hasn't launched yet else I would use that.

Without resorting to this: http://oceancontrols.com.au/KTG-254.html

Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks,
James

Hi i'm Simone form Italy,

i've found an empty din case like this http://www.italtronic.com/prod.asp?seg=2&cat=3&prod=21 sell from an italian store.

I'm also a system integrator, i work with knx but i'm new in raspberry wolrd. I was thinking the same thing as you: building a kns server but sincerely i have to figure it out yet.

Do you have already posted a discussion in the forum to show us the evolution of your project?

It will be great.

I hope my link was usefull!

Bye

Hi Lawrence

Apologies for the delayed response (I never received a notification of your comment!)

If you would like to email me tfisher@hitaltech.com I can look into your request in more detail.

Tara have ordered one and yes the piface fit's but it's tight on getting cables out.

One bit of feedback it would be good for knock-outs for cables in top & bottom of enclosure.
Then it would be perfect for industrial/automation panel projects.

The raspberry pi din rail enclosure is available from the Yadom Shop.
It's really nice for home automation or industrial project.

This enclosure is delivered with a transparent panel. An OLED display module that fits the panel should be availble soon.
