I've got an old Macbook (2006, can get all the details if needed but it's in a drawer right now) that I don't use anymore. I've wanted a Raspberry Pi for a while, and now I'm thinking it would make a good case. Problem: I have no idea where to start. I took apart my desktop computers in college to see if I could put them back together, but that's about the extent of my knowledge.
1. Is this too big a project for a newbie? I like to tinker, but I think anything that requires major mechanical skills might overwhelm me. I'd rather have a working desktop computer than a laptop project I never finish. (I'd like to reuse parts if I can, but I'm more than happy to gut the thing and start from scratch if that's easier, I mostly just like the old case.)
2. I looked around for a guide but didn't find much; is there somewhere that runs through the basics of reusing a laptop?
Thanks.
