I apologise if my topic is irrelevant, I wasn't sure where exactly to post this.
I am planning on using my rpi3 for emulation which means cpu will be a bit more stressed.
Before using a fan I wanna try the best possible setup for passive cooling. I have a nice little alu case with some holes on the sides andI am going to use a heatsink for the cpu.
What do you think is the best way to mount the heatsink?
I comes already with some thin (thermal?) tape so I can just stick it on the cpu, but I also happen to have some Arctic Thermal Pad.
Do you think I could to see any extra decrease in temps with it?
Also, am I allowed to use such a thermalpad between the cpu and the heatsink? Or is it only for cooling other components? I'm asking because in a review I read it's not supposed to be used on cpu's, but I didn't understand if they meant without any heatsink/cooler.
Thanks in advance!
