Panel mount of touch-screen display

Mon Jul 03, 2017 11:02 pm

Looking to mount a 7" touch screen display (with a Raspberry Pi on its back) into a rectangular hole in a large, metal front panel.

Either front mounting or rear mounting is OK (front: by inserting the unit into the rectangular hole; rear: by placing the unit behind the panel, visible through the rectangular hole).

* A case with screw mounting holes in the 4 corners
* A bezel that would hug the just the display and mount to the panel
* Front mount: A pair of brackets that would be screwed into the 4 threaded holes on the back of the display, and extend past the display to press against the front panel to secure it

Have you seen anything like any of those?

Thanks.

Very interesting, thank you.

It uses custom made parts (bezel and rear bracket), not parts that are commercially available (which is what I am looking for).

But it does get me thinking: maybe we should make our own parts.

Thanks!
