The first issue was very good - my only comment is that while it looked fantastic on the screen it did not print very well and the program listings are difficult to read on the hard copy. Maybe that is just me printing on plain paper to try and save money ;o)

The link to the second issue does not seem to work.

If you want any help I can assist with proof reading and testing the code on a real Pi (got mine last week). I may also be able to assist with articles on basic setup / Linux newbie and with toy control similar to the Usborne Electronic Workshop books for the BBC B although I have only got as far as the basic setup bit so far.

Anyone fancy writing a bit of an entry for Wikipedia about "Magpi"?

Hi, I e-mailed editor@themagpi.com with my draft for the C++ article and have yet to get any reply. Did you receive it?

Hi,

As previously discussed with the MagPi editors, a "C cave" article will also be supplied for this month's article.

Would anyone with a RaspPI be willing to run a couple of example programs for me? While I ordered a RaspPI on the 29th of February, I do not have one yet. I would like to be absolutely sure that the content of the proposed article works as expected.

Thanks and best regards,

Will

The fact you haven't touched C C++ for a long time should theoretically make you more suitable as a test user / reader :-)

While we're on C/C++, would someone with a Pi be able to confirm/deny if the package 'build-essentials', which has the compilers, is preinstalled on the Pi? Thanks :)

I *think* I had to install it on the debian distro.

Great work guys!
I have been rather busy with work this month, but I am hoping to be able to contribute to the next issue.
