Car mediaplayer

Sat Jan 24, 2015 4:49 pm

Hello and sorry for my bad english. This is written in the google translator was used.

So I started the car radio project by purchasing raspberry pi b + circuit board, wifi adapter, remote control. Now I wonder whether it would be possible to get this kind of sound card which I could control the subwoofer, for example, less than 80Hz frequencies, based on the speakers more than 80Hz frequencies?

Or do I have to enter Raspberry car audio players, and to father then front-facing? Or how I could get done so that there is no need to correct the car between the player, however I would like the bass frequencies to the subwoofer only.

I installed the operating system raspbmc, thought, however, android but is unlikely to work as intended.

Thank you and bow, but who knows how to help.

I think you need an amplifier instead of a soundcard ?

The integrated sound of the Pi does work well enough for
any applictaion , but is so low power that you can't even
use headphones with it.

Or is the term you're looking for "Audio Crossover" or
"Low-pass filter" ?
I guess you still need an amplifier anyway
because you can't directly connect passive speakers
in a working way to the Pi.

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org

I know that I need amplifiers, so the subwoofer and speakers will have their own own. But the problem is that the wires are 4 pcs, 2x left and right RCA. Of course, the subwoofer RCA end I put on such behavior https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/imag ... j5OCBRdYlS

But the problem is now, but that what kind of sound card in whom I fit at least 4 RCA cord? For example, https://www.hifiberry.com/dac/ in that only the left and the right interface? So it would not work as the only speakers or subwoofer.

Hello,

I think you can find required information on internet. You need to connect it on usb and introduce it to the system then calibrate it. I have never done it before but I suggest you to first understand the logic.

Hi [Jesse,

How far have you got with the install? What are you struggling with?

Have you compiled a new kernel or used one of the versions posted online?

Which OS are you hoping to use?

I have compiled recent kernel and have touch screen running fine using Raspbian so i may be able to help out as long as you don`t need spoon feeding :)

Thx Nik
