If you don't run the GUI the console is the command line
If you run the GUI it's hidden behind that, CTRL+ALT+F1 gets a console, CTRL+ALT+F7 gets the GUI back
Or you can use the LXTerminal program by clicking its icon. Then run sudo alsamixer.

HI

I have tryed sudo alsamixer, it shows the volume. I have connected the cd drive which
is picked up by the rpi(B+). and it tries to run the cd in the drive. It shows: Could not connect to
server as client. Overall operation failed unable to connect to server. Check the messages window
for more info.
how do i get the qjackctrl to run correctly? could you give me some instructions to play cd music
on Qjack.
