Touchscreen Kitchen Computer

Tue Nov 19, 2013 4:30 pm

I'm looking to use one of my pi's as a computer in the kitchen for browsing recipes and music playing. Looking for touchscreen monitors and have seen the lilliput 10" ones, however ebuyer have a Hanns G 23" HT231HPB touchscreen for £180. Is there any way I can check if it would work prior to purchasing?

Cheers,

I got one of the Hanns.g monitors this morning and can confirm it works perfectly with the raspberry pi. Had to dump the edid with tvservice then set:

hdmi_edid_file=1
hdmi_drive=2
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=82

in config.txt, but now everything is fine!

Shaun.

Hello (Sorry for my language : I'm French) !

I want to use a Hanns G touch screen too (ref HT231HPB).

shaunmlowry : With this set up, do you use your screen as touch screen (touch activate) ?
