17'' Touch Screen compatibility

Mon Sep 23, 2013 11:34 am

Hi,

this my first post in this forum. I'm been using RPI for 3 months and today I'm facing the biggest obstacle.
I need to connect PI to a lcd monitor featuring a touch screen. I already have a hole in the wall, the screen dimension must be aprox 17'' (wide or 4:3).

The question is that I cannot find any evidence of compatibility (drivers for PI architecture) for these screen sizes. Does anyone already connected a touch screen of these dimensions? Alternatively, there is any success with touchscreen overlay film?

I have these models available in my retailler: Sinocan T06-17U/RS5 and LG T1710BP-BN, but can't buy them without being sure that are able co connect to PI...

Thanks,

Luis

Hi

I have been on the same quest for some months, the best I have found so far is here

Thanks Kent.

I'm also trying to find a overlay film with egalax controller (it looks like compatible, at least for 7'')... although I couldn't find 17'' option...
