Use Raspberry Pi to calibrate TVs and monitors?

Thu Sep 05, 2013 11:40 pm

Hi all.

I'm often asked to calibrate friends' and family members' TVs. I don't have a Blu-Ray calibration disc yet, but I was thinking that a Raspberry Pi could be an even better calibration tool. You could even power it with a battery if you wanted to take it to a store to check out some TVs before buying.

Has anyone tried this? I'd envision a pretty simple series of test screens, and a couple of buttons to move back and forth between them.
