I noticed recently that BBC continues to experiment with Raspberry Pi to do various things ... (I posted the info about the "ThroneCam" last week)
There is also "Radiodan" which BBC plans to show at a radio conference in early September.

As part of that they are also working on a Ruby wrapper for setting up WiFi on RPi to make it easier to get running in a headless environment.
