Hi There

I have recently been testing shairport with a ODAC usb DAC from http://epiphany-acoustics.co.uk/product ... e-usb-dac/

I have managed to get it working without too many problems, but I don't think the audio is quite right and I am unclear about the best setting for the asound.conf file the get the best audio out of the DAC. My audio does occasionally break up during playback.

I was wondering if anyone is using a ODAC and would be able to share the tweaks with me for best audio performance?

My astound.conf file currently looks like this?

pcm.usbdac {
type hw;
card Audio;
}
ctl.usbdac {
type hw;
card Audio;
}
pcm.!default usbdac

Also are there any other files I should tweak.

Sorry for all the questions, I have tried to understand many of the various tutorials out there, but have zero knowledge of this stuff so any advice would be hugely helpful.

further to my original post I have removed all settings from the astound.conf and rebooted and the audio still working through the DAC.

Am I missing something here??
