Bluetooth and Voice Recognition

Fri May 03, 2013 7:38 pm

Making an iron man helmet over the summer for airsoft and I would like my AI to make it more realistic so I am going to use the pi as it is small enough to have during an airsoft match

The problem is I have no idea if my mic (gioteck ex-01) would connect to the raspberry pi or not. Do not want to buyt a bluetooth dongle if it will not work

My mic will not connect up to my Toshiba tecra A10 (has bluetooth) probably because it is an old laptop but it made me wonder if my mic would connect to the pi

Anyone know if it would or not or recommend a wireless mic for the pi which is not too expensive?

sounds like a really badass project! most dongles will work, on there is 1 for $1.80, that works with the pi, so if your micro doesn't work, it isn't that big a waste. there must be some drivers for bluetooth micros, and at least 1 of them will probably work, had the same thing when i wanted a gamepad for the pi.
