Should be possible. I'm using drumkv1 as a drum sampler with an USB MIDI drumpad and that works like a charm. When it comes to synths you could take a look at Yoshimi or amSynth.
Not sure how to hook up TouchOSC but that should be possible too with the help of something like QmidiNet.

You're welcome. Latest versions of drumkv1, amSynth and Yoshimi are in my repository.

Hi AutoStatic,

Can you give me a hint on how to get sound out of drumkv1 ?

I have it connected in qjackctl :
in->midi keyboard ( oxygen) and
out->sytem

set a sample on one item and i can't seem to get even a beep.

Do i need some synth plugin or smth. else as a plugin for drumkv1 ?
I actually thought it would do synthesis and not even need a sample to start.

It's rather new and documentation is not yet available it seems...

thanks,
Ed.

No, just some samples.

drumkv1 is not a synth, it's a sampler. So load in a sample, check what MIDI note it is (drumkv1 adheres to the General MIDI standard), press the respective key on your MIDI keyboard and the sample should be played.

Hello all,
I am new to RPi. I must have missed something as I can any sound out of drumkv1. I have loaded samples and I have connected a Korg keyboard which seems to be supported by the OS. There is noise souding out when I launch drumkv1 so I assume it may be able to play samples but I can't hear anything when playing the keyboard. What's wrong here?
Thanks!

To add to my last comment. The noise I am getting is actually the sample sound which seems to be corrupted in drumkv1. If I use command aplay, the sound is OK. What's wrong with my setup?

I tried to install this "amSynth" thing.
I made everything exactly like the TXT file suggested. On a standard R_Pi2, nothing strange there.

It has shown so many errors and expressed such a vast inability to do _anything_ that I deleted it instantly.
