I'm seeking some advice on the question of getting more than 2 channels out from a Pi.
I am just beginning research into using a rasberry Pi as a standalone device for sound installations on the suggestion of a friend. I'm wondering if it is possible to use the HDMI audio outputs to get up to 8 independent audio channels coming out of the device? If not, I would appreciate other suggestions as the size and price of the rasberry Pi is very appealing. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
