Pi Slideshow with directory auto-update

Mon Apr 01, 2013 10:32 am

I'm a photographer that uses an old laptop with a beamer to show a slideshow. The slideshow software allows me to add images to the directory (by using Eye-Fi card) while shooting.

Seeing the Raspberry Pi and it's RCA output -> beamer, I was wondering if it was also possible to do this with this device. Because of it's small size it would be wonderful to use.

Questions:
  • Are there scripts/software for slideshow with auto-update available on Pi?
How could I upload to the Pi from my camera's Eye-fi, without extra hardware
(I always have a mobile wifi router on me to amplify the weak Eye-fi signal. This is needed to create a 40 feet working radius. TP-Link TL-WR702N)
