HELP: Using Roxio Video Capture USB to stream video

Mon Dec 03, 2012 3:33 am

Hi all,

I'm trying to use my Raspberry Pi to stream video from from a PAL camera over the network using MJPG streamer. I have successfully got MJPG streaming using a Logitech C525 USB cam but now when trying to use the Roxio Video Capture USB it isn't working.

I'm running a RPi Model B with the latest wheezy OS.

When executing mjpg_streamer it prints

i: Using V4L2 device: /dev/video0
i: Desired Resolution: 640x480
i: Frames Per Second: 5
i: Format: MJPEG
Unable to set format: 1196444237 res: 640x480
Init v4L2 failed !! exit fatal
i: init_VideoIn Failed

Hints/Suggestions?

i really dont know about the c525, but its possible that you need the option "-q 100".
it is needed for YUV devices.

i use this command line to start mjpg-streamer with my ps3 eye toy camera:

Code: Select all

mjpg_streamer -i "/usr/lib/input_uvc.so -d /dev/video0 -q 75" -o "/usr/lib/output_http.so -p 8090"

regards, phil
