USB Guitar Cable

Thu Jan 11, 2018 2:36 pm

Hi

I recently got a Pi 3 and want to connect up my guitar so I can create my own effects using the pi. I'm new to coding and electronics but I was wondering if a USB guitar cable like in the pic below would work? Also what's the easiest way to write the code.

Reverse Google Image search suggest that this is the product
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Professional-G ... B00JVDJOJU

Looks like it has an ADC inside it. Would be worth connecting to the Pi to see whether it is recognized as a microphone type device.

I found this old article which might give you a head start

Not a project for a beginner I'd have thought but it looks likes its at least possible
