Amplified USB sound card?

Sat Nov 25, 2017 6:30 pm

A number of my projects (ham radio related), involve sound cards. More times than not, I need to build up a small audio amp, as the sound out is line-level and is not loud enough.

I stumbled into this USB sound card that is amplified. It has the potential to simplify my projects. I wonder if anyone has used it with the Pi, as I am wondering about its compatibility.

I used something similar in a Raspberry Pi Zero W to play Volumio.
Mine was very cheaper, something like $3. It worked fine.
I can't tell about compatibility

I use one of these as the soundblasters can be tricky to get working.
These also have 5.1 sound!
