20 pin DPI TFT

Mon Oct 30, 2017 3:56 pm

Hey folks,

a buddy of mine recently gave me a Kyocera KCG057QV1DB-G50 industrial TFT that I was hoping to connect to a raspberry pi via DPI but I'm struggling with the pinouts and how to configure the overlays.

I was able to find a datasheet for the display:http://www.datasheetspdf.com/PDF/KCG057 ... 0/842364/1 and fortunately, I was also given a break-out board that included the backlight inverter.

From what I can see on the datasheet it would appear that the TFT re-uses a few pins for RGB data as it cycles where the raspi wants to have an individual pin for each RRRR GGGG BBBB. Also, I'm not etriely sure which pins on the display translate to the raspi DPI, (FRM, LOAD, CP, VCONT)

I'm hoping someone here can illuminate me weather or not the display is even compatible or provide some direction as to how to connect the display to a raspi.

thanks in advance, cheers!
