Greetings brethren!
I've just (substanntially) completed a project to convert an old Yamaha B20R organ (http://www.ggbmusic.com/museum/index0253.html?i=250) into a trove of Pi Midi Awesomeness.
Challenges involved:
1) Rewiring the bussed keyboard for matrix operation. This translated to resoldering 300+ connections.
2) Figuring out how to use a decoder IC (to save some GPIO pins)
3) Figuring out how to talk JACK midi
If anyone has an old organ they'd like to Raspberrize I can provide more info, schematics etc.

Re: Yamaha organ conversion
Hi,
Yeah, 5 years later, but I've started on replacing the electronics of a SynthaSwinger 1100. If the offer's still open, i'd be more than happy to have any info you could provide me on your project.
Thanks.

Alexey (@yamapi ) has not logged back into the forums since the day after posting their one and only message nearly 5 years ago. It is unlikely, but not totally impossible, that they will see it and respond.
