Cupcade and Mega drive/Genesis games

I've bought myself a 2.8 inch adafruit screen and installed cupcade to the pi! It works brilliantly except i can only play NES and MAME games, i was wondering how can i play Mega Drive/Genesis games on it???

Also, was wondering how to use a USB controller with it!

Not really a fix but i found i can play Mega Drive games on mame if i use Mega Play or Mega Tech but games are limited and Mega Tech cuts off half the screen! Sonic 1 works with Mega Play but is extremely laggy and the music is so slow its painful! I was annoyed that i couldnt find Streets of Rage 2 for Mega Play as on Mega Tech as i say half the screen is cut off by a score board and for some reason controls on it dont work!
So i still need help getting Mega Drive games working with Cupcade but fortunately i've sorted the controller for MAME but still need help setting it up for NES!
