AFAIAA you only need a LVDS board configured for your specific LCD Panel and a 12V 4 A power supply to provide enough juice. The LVDS board kit should include everything needed.Silkstone wrote:Hi all,
I'm looking at a project whereby i'd need to connect a RPi Zero to a Laptop LCD (Removed from a laptop)
I understand I'd need a controller board and an inverter along with a power supply but I'm not sure exactly what parts would work.
I was looking at the following items:
Controller: https://goo.gl/dbH5hS (assuming it is compatible with my LCD)
Inverter: https://goo.gl/YEvKy4 or https://goo.gl/yuQi32
or could I use the existing inverter from the laptop?
My soldering skills aren't that great, but i could manage some basic stuff if needed. I'd also like to make sure that all the cables are included and from the descriptions, they look like they are.
What do you think, would these parts work?
Thanks for any help.
Yes, but the controller may be compatible with more screens than those listed on ebay.Silkstone wrote:Is it essential to get a model that states compatibility with my screen
