SMS Communication with Raspberry Pi

Sat Feb 07, 2015 5:31 pm

I build simple project inteligent home. Now i want to send order to my RPi by SMS.
It should look simple. I want to send to my RPi SMS for example "GPIO1", and then I want to my RPi
turn on GPIO1 what is connected for example to some engine or lamp.
How to do this? How to use received sms on my RPi?

I don't use SMS, but if XMPP (AKA Jabber, used by Google Chat) is acceptable, check this project out. I've been using it in my home automation project:
It acts as a chat bot, and it does let you control GPIO through the chat, among other things. If you're looking to do the same but with SMS, you can use the same pattern matching code, but replace the XMPP parts of the program with SMS.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but a quick google search on "raspberry pi SMS" yielded this:

Finally I solve My problem. I try to describe it here.
I try to use some difficult method for example with using MySql or gammu-smsd ( nothing was work ).
At the end I decided to use only gammu and function getallsms. I move results of this command to text file, and then i operate only on this file. I know where is for example telephone number, and content of sms. This is very simple solution but enough for me.
Thanks for yours advices!
