We have a bunch of failed actuators at work (they were on heating valves and the temperature made the actuator casing brittle, snapping off the mounting) that I thought I might find a use for in a project.
Any suggestions as to what I could use these for? essentially they are a very slow drive time motor with positioning and end stop sensing.
The actuators are Johnsons VA-7452-1001 (datasheet)
• 24VAC power
• Proportional control
• 0 to 10 VDC input signal (adjustable to 0-5v by Jumper position)
• Direct Acting (reversible by Jumper position)
• Adjusted to produce modulating flow characteristic (adjustable by Jumper position)
• No anti-sticking cycle (adjustable by Jumper position)
edit: this motor is pretty slow moving, I'm sure I'll come up with a task for the bunch of them though.
