I've managed to get past the YAML problem with Raspbian (I replied to your other thread
but it's not been approved yet apparently)
At that point I hit a problem with OpenCV
libraries, however looking at what others managed to do with OpenCV on Pi was quite limited so I'm not trying to get the bare minimum working so going for the Fuerte Desktop.
The way I see the RPi working is as low-level decision making and HW interfacing through the GPIO port, leaving it up to a remote server to do complicated CV and high level decisions.
After encountering errors on Electric too, I'm now focusing on getting the Fuerte Desktop
variant on Raspbian
working (There is no ros-base
Seems like rosmake expects gcc-4.5
and I've found no way of making rosmake use 4.6 as it ignores export CC=gcc-4.5
(if you know please tell me!)
