Re: Problem with LIRC configuration

Well, I'm an idiot.

I must have stared at that circuit in my breadboard for hours yesterday, and missed one obvious truth; I had R1 & R2 switched. I reckon I'm lucky I didn't fry the pi. :cry:

Taking it apart and putting it back together helped. I'm getting a nice burst from irsend now.

Now to solder the circuit together, and not make any stupid mistakes like that again!

:oops:

So now I've marked out on my vero board Image where everything goes, and am about to cut my sections off the main piece before I solder it.

My camera, even though it's fine for testing if the IR LED is on or not, doesn't seem to want to focus properly so I can't take a picture of the laybout I'm using. So I'm hoping I've made no *more* grave errors. ;)

I'll update when I've soldered and tested the circuit.

Excellent. Worked a treat.
:D
I've got other things to do today and over the weekend, but come Monday;
- a second circuit will be soldered.
- the receiver circuits will be layed out, marked, cut, and soldered
- I'll then hook a pair up to each of my Pis and see if they can talk to each other

Cheers again for all your help,
Antony

Great you've got it working! Now off to some of the more fun parts of your project :-)
