interfacing to Insteon home automation controller

Sat Feb 16, 2013 9:06 pm

Hi, I have an Insteon 2413U PowerLinc Modem that I connect to my PC via USB port to control lights and poll switches.

Has anyone successfully interfaced a Raspberry Pi to an Insteaon home-automation controller?

I realize that my reply is a bit late. But, I thought I'd share it anyways for others that might stumble upon this question.

I have shared some Python code on my website that shows how to control the 2413U PowerLinc from a Raspberry Pi. I have sample code for controlling Insteon & X10 devices as well as code for listening for commands from other Insteon devices (ie. you turn on an Insteon light switch and the PowerLinc detects it).

You can find the code at http://www.prodigyproductionsllc.com/ar ... pberry-pi/
