Any good robotic arms out there?

Fri Jan 04, 2013 8:27 pm

So, I'm not 100% sure if this topic is supposed to be in this specific area, but please bare with me.

I'm basically looking for a robotic arm which could be used in conjunction with the Raspberry Pi and eith be controlled by Scratch or Python. I've looked at this http://www.maplin.co.uk/robotic-arm-kit ... ace-266257 but I wasn't sure if it could be used with the Pi.

Any help? :)

Have a look at issue 3 of Magpi, there is an article on that arm, also there have been several threads here about projects using it, they are probably several pages back but a search should dig them out.

http://www.lynxmotion.com/ and http://www.crustcrawler.com/ make very good robotic arms kits and sell parts to make your own. As for scratch, I guess you can replace the controller boards they come with the pi try it that way, other than that I don't know
