Device to measure angle for input to RPI

I am new and tried a few searches but no luck.
I am designing a project that will need to measure the angle of an arm relative to horizontal (can be actual as in level bubble or just relative to the mount)
Think of a window in the ceiling where I want to measure how much it is open. I need it to either be wireless or can be wired into some sort of wireless hub for up to a dozen of these devices. Wireless in this case is probably Bluetooth. Power must be from long life battery.

Do such devices exist?

I would have thought a rotary potentiometer, perhaps with some gearing, might be ideal. Possibly a linear potentiometer attached to some linkage.

A microcontroller with ADC input and some sort of on-chip RF connectivity is probably ideal if you are looking for long battery life. There are many very low-cost options there.

C$35 ++ over here.

Also used in game controllers so maybe some much cheaper parts are available.

You'll have to go hunt for a low power processor but if it doesn't have Analog in then a NAU7802 is an I2C-ADC.

If it were only to wake up every 30 minutes for the blink of an eye you might get a reasonably long run time from your battery.
