Open source speech recognition

Tue Nov 26, 2019 2:06 am

What’s a good open source speech recognition software I might use (preferably non cloud based) on a PC to receive the data from a Pi (and possibly process it)? From what I’ve gathered, there isn’t much accurate speech recognition (that isn’t cloud based) available for the pi, so is there something on PC I could use *with* a pi instead? Thanks!

These guys seem to have done a bit of homework in this regard.

Ah yeah, I actually came across that as well, just got myself a bit wrapped up in the details of my project... I was looking to make something I could build off of longer term/larger scale (which is why I was thinking how I might pass the data to a computer for more intensive data storage/processing, hence why I asked about open source pc side software I could use *with* a pi), but really I should start smaller and work my way up to that anyway, and i would rather put this part on board the pi too, if I could. Thanks!
