The video is cool, but that the gripper was able to grip and carry a water bottle was most impressive to me:
I had zero experience with pumps, tubes, ... and thought "I want to try that".

So I started and ordered "aquarium pump + tube + 5-way pump splitter" on aliexpress, for 3.27$ + 1.46$ + 2.81$ = 7.54$ with free shipping:
I have several 0.70$ 0-24V IRF520 Mosfet Buttons and will use two of them to control the two pumps (in total 12.09$).
Today I simulated the mosfets and used my hand instead to create a first "programmable air" video:
