This forum supports RPi products and their uses. The ELB-REV4 does not appear to fit into those categories.

Sorry guys i did not mean to spam but i wanted to know how can i interface Raspberry pi with ELB-REV4. Since ELB-REV4 uses UART i am connecting RPi UART to ELB-REV4 but the communication does seem to work

The reason why you do not see the UART of RPi communicating with ELB-REV4 is because UART of ELB-REV4 uses 5V data signal which is mostly used for industrial purpose. But if you want to want to communicate between the 2 then just convert 3.3V data output of the RPi to 5V data output. using some FTDI chips present online you can use this chipset https://www.reichelt.at/entwicklerboard ... D_BwE&&r=1

The Raspberry Pi Foundation documentation concerning the UART Interface built in to the RPi board is here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... on/uart.md

Note the warning about potentially dangerous and incompatible signal levels.

On ELB-REV4 you can configure any GPIO pin to turn on/off or to generate PWM needed for your application. there are example code present in the path /builds/SCADA/filesystem/usr/scada/led you can see example code to turn on/off GPIO or to generate PWM.
